I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. I had a fantastic dining experience here with my husband this past week. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the service was fantastic! Everyone from the host to our server to the food runner were pleasant and knowledgeable. We ordered two cocktails from their specialty menu that were delicious and had the empanada trio, the scallops, and potatoes. All were wonderful and I would order them again. Especially the scallops, they were amazing! Highly recommend this for a date night spot or a fun dinner place. Would love to see these owners open up more businesses in the area!

We went as a group of 6 on a Monday night. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great. The only con would be for bigger groups, they don’t allow for payment with more than 3 cards. We were on a trip for work and needed things to be divided. 3 of us ordered the limo salado and it was SO good. The various ceviches were yummy as well. Highly recommend and will return! 🙌🏼

Last minute brunch in the area with 2 women friends, we sat at the bar where we could see the care put into cocktail creation. Staff were caring and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. I had the mushroom sandwich (spicy!) and an exquisitely presented side of avocado. Love the decor in this place, the color scheme, the earthy ceramics and the accessories are on point. Will be back for happy hour!

Honestly one of the most authentic Peruvian spots I’ve tried. The lomo saltado was on point, the ceviche fresh and full of flavor, and the leche de tigre and anticuchos tasted just like back home. Every dish brought that real Peruvian feeling — definitely coming back!!

I finally made it to Lucuma and OMG ! What an experience ! I never write reviews but I feel like it’s the right thing to do for this amazing place . Since the moment you walk in, you feel the Ambiance , the decor is beautiful and the vibe is there , a packed restaurant with nice music playing and everyone having a good time . We tried many options from the crudo menu, cebiche cremoso and tiraditos followed by the two unique causas ( acevichada & octopus sweet potato ) and then we got the asado de mamita , empanadas and the Bistec a lo pobre and Arroz norteño . The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation is top notch. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a restaurant that has impressed me like this . The costumer service is exceptional , the waiter was so attentive and nice ! You can clearly see all the workers enjoying their time and with a big smile . The gracious hostess comes to check on you and makes sure you’re having a great time . Lucuma has become my favorite Peruvian restaurant in the Bay Area now .

Lucuma Kitchen is a Keeper! Open only 6 months, and it is very hard to get into this hot place in Oakland! We slipped in for Happy Hour on a Friday, and we're very pleasantly surprised. A warm welcome, nice seating, and delicious tapas with tasty drinks...what more can you ask for? We ordered ceviché classic, ceviché verde, yucca fries, plantain chips, and pork sandwich. Ceviché classic was okay, but we really liked the ceviché verde. And the fried plantains. And the yucca fries. And... you get the idea. Our server, Vanda, was fabulous! Attentive, yet not obtrusive. When she went on a food delivery, the other staff seamlessly stepped in and supported her. A very pleasant experience. Make reservations in advance, as walk-in seating is nigh impossible to get. And enjoy!

I find you often have to choose between aesthetics and culinary prowess, with few exceptions. Lucuma is one of those exceptions. The food is as refined and delicious as it is instagrammable. Plus, most dishes are vegetarian and delicious on their own, with an option to add meat if that’s your thing. To boot, the service is phenomenal. Everyone working there was kind, attentive, and helpful — in person and online. 12/10, would go back in a heartbeat. PS: It gets busy, so reserve on OpenTable.

Excellent meal! Fun decor, the food was beautifully plated and delish. We had the Cremoso ceviche, coliflor, anticuchos, and salmon. All were great, but the salmon was the least memorable of the four. I was most surprised by the anticuchos, they were delicious and the pave potato it’s served on is incredible.

Absolutely love this gem. First walking in we were in love with decor. The style is warm, modern, and just stunning. The food was incredible! We had a few apps (sorry can't remember the names) potatos, wontons and for mains empanatas, short ribs and paella. For dessert we had the passion fruit meringue, amazing! Every dish was beautifully plated and tasted even better! Definitely going back.
